Multi Conference on Computer Science and Information Systems (MCCSIS 2008)
Amsterdam, Netherlands, 22 – 27 July 2008

MCCSIS 2008, The Multi Conference on Computer Science and Information Systems

Prof. Wierzbicki is Committee Member for MCCSIS 2008, The Multi Conference on Computer Science and Information Systems.

MCCSIS aims to address two main subjects: Computer Science and Information Systems. The multi conference has different conferences according to several themes.

The functionality of visual communication has been underestimated as photography and cartoons claimed artistic autonomy rather than being submissive to the explicit message to be conveyed. Commercials and pervasive messages in ideological campaigns are early adopters of visuals. Since 3D image spaces in Virtual Reality have been introduced it is a must to meet between scientific researchers, art directors, photographers and illustrators.

“Creative industries” is the epitome for critical applications like social software, gaming and cultural documentaries. This conference will open the landscape for those who bring overlooked messages from theory and practice and those who have the intuition that the visual languages prevail in attitudinal and affective communication. Multi cultural projects demand a high of sophistication in semiotic awareness. Especially this aspect is a fast-growing domain for communication specialists.

Not at least we welcome media technologists who extent the conventions of images on the surface of the screen and are thrilled by 3D, tactile, haptic and immersive image “spaces”. The conference offers you a wide overview, exclusive demos and in-depth reflections. Besides Communication, the application domains are Educational, Corporate, Governmental, Medical, Military, Engineering, Commercials and Leisure.

Topics for this conference include, but are not limited to:

  • Visual Communication
  • Psychology
  • Photography
  • Technology

The 2nd International Conference on Knowledge Generation, Communication and Management: KGCM 2008
June 29th - July 2nd, 2008 – Orlando, Florida, USA

The 2nd International Conference on Knowledge Generation, Communication and Management: KGCM 2008

Generated knowledge is usually communicated. Implicit or explicit management of knowledge generation and communications is usually required for both: knowledge generation and communication. Knowledge management requires as well knowledge generation and/or communication, i.e. meta-knowledge regarding knowledge management, which has been explicitly being addressed on the organizational level. These three knowledge’s dimensions are highly related among each other.

Information and communications Technologies are increasingly supporting the effectiveness and the efficiency on Knowledge generations, communication and management, as well as the relationships among them. Consequently, a main purpose of KGCM 2008 is to bring together researchers, professionals, academics, consultants and practitioners related to any of these three areas, to relationships among them as well as those who are related to the conception, design or implementations of systems, tools and technologies oriented to support knowledge generation, communications and/or management.
