PrävEM – Development of Enterprise Content Management-based Production Pipelines for 3D-Visualization and Animated Movies

eu_foerdert_sachsen

The research project “PrävEM” started in July aims to develop an effective IT-based system enabling media professionals to realize media productions in one fluid work flow instead of several separated procedures. The main objective is to create a more flexible, interlinked and efficient way for producing pre-visualizations and animated scenes. To achieve this, techniques of 3D modeling, video games, television and information systems are going to be used. By combining those methods it will be possible to create, capture, interpret and assemble movie scenes within virtual movie shootings. Part of this process is the development of an enterprise-content-management-system, that can be used to efficiently administrate and produce animated movies. Media professionals will be provided with a prototypical solution which grants direct control over the final product during the entire course of production.
